A note about comments...

Lately, there's been an increase in people commenting on the blog about specific candidates who are running for Sue's seat. While all comments in support of a particular candidate are welcome, only comments that include the poster's name will be posted to the site. It's simply unfair to allow anonymous posters to tout a specific candidate, much the same way Amazon doesn't allow anonymous people to post book reviews.

Comments:
John Hall is running for Congress in NY 19 and we are proud to use our names!

John is running on a platform of redefining National Security to ensure the needs of all Americans are protected. He is a proud, progressive Democrat and we have much more information on his policy positions on our website.

John's announcement has already been picked up on the AP wire, and includes the story most of you will remember of his tangles with the Bush campaign!

This district is becoming more competetive as a local paper just wrote on the 17th.

I just came across your blog and would like to donate some of my time. I am a vice- chair of the West co. dem party and I have been trying to gather some numbers on this race to crunch. There will be very few competive local races in 06 with this race and the Spano state sen race being the possible exceptions and would seem increasingly unlike that any of the state racess will be competitive (at least after the ag primary is over) so I have been looking to see what I can do on this race to help. I very good reviewing and crunching poll results and it something I can do after my kids are asleep. My problem is I need to get the results by CD for races other than the actual congr. race. I have been unable to find them yet - if someone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I have no favorite for this seat and frankly don't even know who is running yet. So I would be happy to share my results with all of the county parties and with all of the candidates.

I also think and was going to raise this at our county's next exec meeting that we need to have a formal group that can do shared work and fundraising and even start running some ads against her PRIOR to the primary.

Please feel free to let me know if anyone has any ideas on where to get the data. I would be happy to discuss offline as well.
